Before and After School Enrichment (BASE) Coordinator

Job Overview

Under the direction of the BASE Director, the Coordinator will assist in the administration and supervision of the Before & After School Enrichment (BASE) Program. This person is responsible for supporting BASE operations, staff development, and  ensuring student safety in  accordance with BASE policies and protocols.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of LAMB’s BASE programs (before-care, aftercare, enrichment, and summer) to provide an enriching student experience. Oversee daily operations alongside the BASE Director.
  • Manage essential documents (registration, attendance, staffing lists, program plans) and ensure adherence to policies, deadlines, and health/safety regulations.
  • Support, mentor, and oversee BASE staff, contractors, and volunteers. Assist with training, performance management, and team-building efforts.
  • Communicate with parents regarding student needs and support instructors in documenting concerns. Oversee safe dismissal and manage late pick-up procedures.
  • Oversee afterschool enrichment classes and assist with planning BASE Summer Program and LAMB’s annual International Day.
  • Attend required training and meetings to maintain program effectiveness.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned to support the success of LAMB’s BASE program.
 

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in administration of an educational or enrichment program and in working with school-age children, with an affinity for Montessori or progressive teaching and learning practices
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Collaborative, team-oriented positive attitude 
  • Ability to meet all employment requirements including a thorough background check
  • Bachelor degree preferred, associate’s degree required

FLSA Classification:  Exempt

Reports to:  BASE Director

Schedule:  12-month full-time position; 10:00 am - 6:15 pm

 

Salary: $40,000 - $60,000

 

Compensation

Salary is commensurate with experience.  Generous benefits package includes medical insurance (health, dental, & vision), retirement plan, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, flexible spending account (medical, dependent care, and transit), and vacation/sick leave.
